The Cutest Box.

Hello!

A short and sweet post today about a very adorable item I found in the Range store a few weeks ago. It is a hard, card box which is white and almost 'fluffy'? Hopefully you can tell in the pictures, but it also has a small gathering of white roses on the top. Even better, this was £1.50! I'm tempted to buy another for some more storage bits and bobs, but for now this one contains my rings. I love it, rings are something I always lose so this shall be helpful! Thinking about rings... I swear I've already lost two of the midi rings I got on Saturday.

I was just so pleased with this little find I had to share it! My room is currently a purple colour which I loved but after seeing so many people with bedrooms of white and pastel shades, including dainty bits and bobs plus florals, I've kind of changed my mind. I really can't afford to change my room right now but I thought that if I start building up items here and there, when the time comes for a redecoration I'll be ready!

So everyone, in the comments let me know what your room is like! I'd love to hear them all :)

Thank you for reading!

13 Personal Questions Tag!

Hello everyone!

I was tagged a while back by Kelly (thank you Kelly!) to do this 13 personal questions tag. I don't normally tell you all much about me, so I thought this was a fun one to do!

1. What do you order from Starbucks?

Nothing. I have only ever been to Starbucks twice! When I went the second time, I did have a Gingerbread Latte which was nice though. Perhaps a little too cinnamon-ey for me, but I remember it clearly when Lauren and I got one when we went shopping for her birthday! I'm a big tea and coffee drinker though. Ooh and anther thing, I do like Costa Hot Chocolate. That's yummy!

2. What's one thing in your closet you can't live without?

Errrm... my Primark oversized speckled cardigan. It is so huge and the perfect thickness, plus it was £8 when I got it and I'm sure I don't go through a week without putting it on! However, currently it is crazy printed loose jogger type flimsy trousers which have elasticated ankle bits and they're really baggy. I have some from River Island and some from Primark, both of which I've been wearing non stop!

3. What's one thing most people don't know about you?

I cannot stand cheese. The taste, the smell, the texture, just no. I like pizza though... I swear you can't taste there's cheese on pizza! If any of you don't like cheese too, please tell me you can relate?! My mum is always so confused, as she says 'You don't like cheese but it's on pizza?' It's different I swear! ;)

4. What's one thing you want to do before you die?

Make my own money and have a loving family. And go to America again, and to a fashion show again. I literally cannot stop thinking about fashion shows after I have been to the graduate fashion week one! I would also like to travel to a less fortunate country and do some helping out, it always breaks my heart when I see celebrities do it on tv!

5. What's one food you can't live without?

I have a weaknes for red peppers, and probably pizza.

6.What's one quote you live your life by?

I don't know... perhaps one by Coco Chanel which is 'If everything is in our heads, we better not loose them!'. I like that one because it shows that you should always keep your feet on the ground I suppose. I've never thought of that actually!

7. What do you like and dislike about the blogging community?

I like that it is a place to interact with people who like the same things as you and obviously the lovely comments you leave me, and I dislike the spam emails/comments. Going back to the good, although follower number does not reflect how great your blog is, it honestly makes me smile when I log into blogger and I've got a new person interested in my blog!

8.What's your number 1 song on your iPod/iTunes?

Erm... I actually am not overly obsessed with music. I'm the type of person who just catches bits and bobs from the radio now and again!

9.  What kind of style would you describe yourself as having?

Probably a little different, fashion obsessed and perhaps simple? It's not often you'll catch me in a slogan t shirt so... I suppose that's how I'd describe it! I definitely think it's easier to get someone else to describe your style!

10. Favourite number?

I've always had something about the numbers with 8 and 2 in them. 2, 8, 28, 82... don't ask why! I know I also read somewhere about 8 because it is never ending and something like that.. I can't find the word I'm looking for haha!

11. Two hobbies?

I'm a boring person, but I'm not opposed to making myself a dress or shorts occasionally on my sewing machine! I also love taking pictures of my dogs if you count that as a hobby?!

12. Two pet peeves?

Like Kelly, when people are self obsessed and act like they own the place. Secondly, when you're happily walking down the path, and a car comes along with some crazy music BLASTING out of the speakers with EVERY SINGLE window down. Consider others, yeah?!

13. Your guilty pleasure?

The Kardashians. I am not joking when I say I have 50+ episodes on record. I literally love them. I think my favourites are Khloe and Kendall. I do love Mason too, he's adorable! I'm literally on edge to find out what Kim's baby will be called! I know there's rumours about Kaidence or North, but I'm waiting until one of the family members announce it for themselves.

So, onto who I tag! If I haven't tagged you and you'd like me to, leave a comment and
I'll add you in here!

Lauren @ TheBeauBow
Rachael @ Rachel-Vs-Life

I'm so sorry if I've forgotten anyone!

Thanks for reading, give this a go! Say I tagged you!

GOSH Velvet Touch Eyeliners SS13

Hey! I hope you're all having a great day!

I've tried these liners out a few times now and I literally adore them. So, here's a review for you!
I was sent Renaissance Gold and Fashionista to review, both of which are lovely shades that are unique to my collection from Gosh which I am a great fan of now.

Renaissance Gold on the left, Fashionista on the right.

Fashionista is a navy blue colour with some bluey/green sparkles. I do love this one, I'm just not sure how to wear it as blue is not my colour really when it comes to eye products! This isn't as great in terms of the formula like Renaissance Gold is, but it still high quality and very pigmented. I find it does last well too and doesn't smudge, bonus! I can imagine green eyes could pull this off very well, I'm just not a blue eye product kind of person!

Then there's my favourite of the two, Renaissance Gold. I love to put it on my lower lashline and even smudging it on my lid, it's so versatile! It is intensely pigmented and long wearing as well, and I actually do like that it is yellow toned. I cannot express how much I love this liner. It is oh so creamy, and whenever I want something simple for my eyes, I just pop a bit of this on. I'm sure this would look amazing on every eye colour, not just brown.

Above you can see Renaissance Gold on the lower lashline. It's an image I've had hanging around since my Benefit mascara review, and you can see how pretty it is!

I have seen many other colours of these, which I am so tempted to try! This is such a hidden gem type of product, as never before I was sent these had I considered the eyeliners that Gosh sell.  It's definitely inspired me to try out some of the lesser known items found in Boots and Superdrug!

Let me know in the comments, do you have any hidden drugstore gems that you love and not many others have tried? Why not share them in the comments?!

Thank you so much for reading :)

The products in this review were sent for consideration, but please be aware this in no way shape or form influences my opinions! Thank you!

My New Makeup Storage/Collection

Hello!

If you know me, you know that generally I am very organised. Until, that is, it comes to my makeup collection. I can store it very nicely, but then by the morning everything is upside down as I rummage around for what I want to use that day. I was after something easy to keep tidy, and such a blogger cliché I know, but I really did like the look of Muji. I was going to order it, but what's frustrating is on their website there are never more than 3 items in stock at one time and I wasn't going to go an epic journey to find a store. So, when on a shopping trip yesterday, I popped into 'Instore' (I think that's what it's called...) and generally, I hate that shop as I find it to all be really tacky, but as I was in there I thought I'd take a look at the storage. I'm glad I did!

I found a very posh looking brown leather effect set of 4 drawers. It was £11.99 from £19.99, which was such a bargain that I found myself skipping down to the checkouts and somehow, I managed to come home with it.

Above, you can see what they look like. I've stood them on my dressing table so it is super tall. Yes, I know, I need to dust that surface haha!

And here's what's on top. I have a small cream cup from QD stores holding all of my eye pencils, and then the typical blogger Ikea plant pot for my brushes. I also have a Lush 'Charity Pot' cream on top as well to fill the empty space!

Here's my first draw. I keep face products in this, so you can see my Lush toner, my moisturiser, primer, spot treatment cream, hand sanitizer, lash curlers, lip balm, foundations, a few cream highlighters and concealers. The little purple cup is from QD stores too.

Then the emptiest of my drawers is the second, which containers blushes and my powders. I hope this one will keep growing though, I adore cheek colours! I have all 3 Dainty Doll cream blushes as well as my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, a Topshop blush and an offering from Natural Collection. I can't believe I only own one Natural Collection blush, leave me a comment letting me know which one I should get next! The one I have is Sweet Cheeks.

Then, the eye drawer! I have everything from mascaras to palettes to mono shadows in here! You can see my one and only Mac eye shadow, Neo Nebula sitting pretty. Pfft, I so didn't purposely ensure it was at the top so everyone could see it....! I have 3 Maybelline Colour Tattoos which are firm favourites, as well as a couple of MUA shades and my new UD Naked Basics palette.  You can also see a mini Benefit They're Real Mascara and Maybelline The Rocket too, both of which are great for my lashes.

Lastly, the lip drawer. This is mumbled jumbled mess if I'm honest, so I'm so sorry if the more OCD of you out there hate me for this!

I have a S&G Wowed Mouth palette which is beautiful but I kind of forget I have, some Revlon Balm Stains, Gosh Soft 'n' Shine Lip Balms and some randoms in here. But, I actually hardly ever wear a lip colour! There's also two Dainty Doll lippies and two Rimmel hiding somewhere as well, some of my favourites.

I forgot to mention, the drawers are very deep and fit a lot in them, and for reference my Simple Light Moisturiser just fits comfortable inside the drawers so hopefully you get a bit of an idea to how big that is!
So, there was my makeup collection/storage!

I hope you enjoyed that, sorry it wasn't so detailed but I'm not sure really what else to say!

Thank you all so much for reading, come back again soon!

Haul: Rose Gold, Sales and Coconut Oil... (Primark, Superdrug, Dorothy Perkins)

Hello! I am so sorry I haven't posted in the last few days. I have wanted to, but something has always come up meaning I haven't got enough time to pos which is so frustrating! I hope I'll b able to post twice a week now, as a minimum because I don't want to force out posts that are incredibly boring and you can tell I haven't put any passion into them, but I also want to ensure I keep my posts regular and I carry on blogging. I've been determined I have made this blog for good!

As always, I went shopping which I didn't feel too guilty about as I had some birthday money left and I thought I would live dangerously. Wow. I'm a rebel...

I'll begin with where I went first, Dorothy Perkins. My mum was actually looking in there because usually for clothes, I don't look in this shop. But as my mum tried on a few dresses it meant I could look at the jewellery and I'm so glad that I did! Many items I had wanted for a long time but couldn't justify were better than half price so I took full advantage and spent around £14.00 in there. I worked out the total lot would have been around £36.50, so not bad eh?

This first item is a beautiful dainty bracelet which is a rose gold colour. The heart is tiny and made of little twists and it looks so pretty as a subtle addition to my wrist. I have been wearing this to school too and I literally can't stop looking at it! Best of all, this was meant to be £5 which I was actually prepared to pay last time I took a visit, but it was marked down to £2 and then scanned at £1 at the till! Yay!

Yet another rose gold item, this spike bracelet. Topshop do very similar and once again, I was going to get this before hand but at £7.50 I thought it was a bit too steep. I couldn't believe my eyes and I jumped for joy when it was £3!

Then the best saving, this necklace (which had some earrings too that were black triangles like you see in the necklace) was £3. It was priced at £8.50 before which I would never had paid and we all know about the whole monochrome majig. I thought that it would look nice under the shirts I own!

I spotted these and purchased them for my mum, but I've taken a fancy to them also. They were £2 from £4 and they're a gold triangle with white, grey, gold and mushroom coloured triangles inside.

Then second from last from Dorothy Perkins, was this 6 set of stud earrings for only £3. This was supposed to be £6.50 and features neon yellow, orange/red, lilac, silver, rose gold and nude coloured studs. I just thought they were a simple statement and I loose earrings everyday. Can never get enough of them!

Lastly for the jewellery, a neone pink chain bracelet which was £2 down from £5. Again, I absolutely adore this as it is so dainty but still has the bright colour.

Then I took a trip to Superdrug and honestly, brought a load of rubbish that I know I didn't need.

Surgical spirit. I've read it is the same as Isopropyl Alcohol and I've got a few broken eyeshadows which apparently this will fix. I tried it, and my whole room smelt like a hospital but that's first impressions. I've also heard you can use it to sanitize makeup brushes which explains my next purchase of a spray bottle! This was £1.35.

Then there's my spray bottle which I just explained. This was less than £2, I can't remember the exact amount, sorry!

Then for a school science experiment and some other uses, coconut oil which was £2.29. I really like this so far, for an intense face moisture boost!

Next, I had had my eyes on these moisturisers from Garnier since they came out, and being as it is 'summer' I thought that it would be wise to go for one with SPF 20. It is a little greasy on first impressions, but I got this at half price for around £2.98 so I'll see how it goes!

Then, and absolute impulse buy was this Dove compressed deodorant. It's teeny tiny and this was around £1.97, but apparently it's meant to last as long as their larger size, just compressed. This one is the pomegranate and lemon verbena scent and I like it so far. Not much to say really, just a nice deodorant!

Lastly from Superdrug was a dry shampoo. The fragrance is 'Floating on a breeze' which is nice and fresh. I do like Batiste, but it is quite expensive in my opinion, and I might have to sa I like this one more, which was only 99p! It's Superdrug's own brand so next time, I'm going to try out some different scents.

Firstly, I purchased this makeup bag/pencil case. It is a bright fuchsia/hot pink colour with gold studs and as you can see, it was £2.00. I am using this for a pencil case at school and I really love it! I'm sure they had a black one (and maybe a white one....?) too if I remember correctly!

Then some sunnies. These were £2.50, and surprise surprise they actually half suit me! They're not too round or too square, I'm not really sure how to describe them! They have a gold section at the side and they're a brown animal print rim. I love these, and they give everything a warmer tint when you look through them so I call them my happy glasses. I'm cool like that (haha).

Lastly, a midi dress! I've seen more then enough midi dresses everywhere and I love the trend, but I couldn't find one I liked enough. The one I got was £10 and it is black and white horizontally striped, with some larger stripes at the bottom.

So, that's all everyone!

Once again, I cannot apologise enough for not posting. This post was meant to go up last Sunday, but something came up, and literally every day after that time went too quickly and before I knew it I had to be in bed again.

Anyways, I really hope you enjoyed that, perhaps you'd like to tell me your favourite item featured in this post below?

Thank you for reading!

LUSH Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb In Action! + Review

Hello! If you haven't already, take a look at my Birthday Haul post. Quite a long one but I hope you liked it!

You might have seen I purchased a few bits and bobs from Lush as it isn't a shop I get to go to often and one of these things was Dragon's Egg. It's a bath bomb I have used before, so second time round and I'm ready to write a review!

In colour, Dragon's Egg is white with a few coloured speckles and dots where some large confetti like pieces are. It smells divine, like a citrus cocktail and one I never fail to be impressed by. I would liken the fragrance to lemon sherbet, which reminds me of those sherbet fountains and dib dabs, I think!

When it first goes into the water, it doesn't do much at all. For about 30 seconds, it kind of foams a little and just bobs around. However, it then begins to spin and bubble, releasing more foamy goodness which is currently, just white a fluffy bubbles. As the white layer continues to fizz away, the orange centre seeps through, queue more bubbling and glitter! And lots of it!

This is my favourite part, when you see the orange bit and it all kicks off. The water changes from clear to a vibrant orange and the foam makes such a pretty sight, all swirly, white and orange from when it has been floating around in the bath. You can also see gold glitter which I know some people aren't keen on, but I never find bits stuck to me afterwards so I don't mind. It's like a slice of sunshine in your bath! My mum did wake me up in the morning after I used this bath bomb and said that she had to rinse the bath out because there was glitter left in the bottom. Woops!

Oooh another thing I've forgotten! There are penny sized different coloured confetti circles which also float around the bath and dissolve. I actually really like them because they make me feel like there's a private party in my bathroom! Scroll up a bit and you'll see what I'm on about! Also, let's not leave out the popping candy! Yes! Popping candy in the bath!

The only thing I wish Lush did was a cross between a bubble bar and a bath bomb, so you get some bubbles as well as the excitement of a bath bomb because the foam does not last for long. I know... I know, I could put a bubble bar in at the same time and make a bath cocktail which I watch people do on YouTube all the time but honestly, who has the money to do that every day? I wish!

Dragon's Egg retails for £3.20 from Lush and you can find it from the link - here!

If you like your glitter and your citrus, then I would really recommend this! If you're a Lush newbie which I kind of am, then I do think this is a nice one to start with as well. It isn't the cheapest bath bomb of the bunch and sometimes I feel bad; like I'm washing money down the plug hole but for a weekly/fortnightly treat, why not. With money problems all over and the recession too, I do think it is worth it to spend a couple of pounds on a small pampering bath.

Probably a picture that should have been at the start, but here's what the bath bomb looked like before it went in the water!

Thank you very much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!

Please leave me a comment and let me know your favourite Lush bath bombs, I'd love to hear them and I'll bare them in mind next time I go on a shopping trip and Lush is around!

Makeup + Lush Birthday Haulin'!

Hello!

I am extremely sorry I haven't posted since last Wednesday. It seems every time I want to post something else comes up and I don't have time but I've managed to write you all up my birthday haul. I got some makeup things I am super excited about so I hope you enjoy it! If you'd like to see the clothes side of things, let me know and I'm sure I can do one! This is a long one. Such a blogger cliché, but grab yourself a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit or two whilst I tell you about what I got!

Let's go!

The first thing I got was a repurchase of Essie Good to Go. I love this topcoat and it feels great to apply this one as my last bottle had thickened so much! This was £8.99 which is expensive, but I don't know how I lived without it before as I would always wake up the morning after painting my nails with some gorgeous duvet print on them and this prevents that.

Next in the 3 for 2 at Superdrug, Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. I got the shade Vanilla which is a good match, perhaps a tad too dark but I'm hoping for a teeny tan from being in the sunshine but it is so natural you can't tell. This was £8.99, and so far I do like it. At first I wasn't at all keen, but it's growing on me for sure.

My free item was a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick. It is a beautiful fuchsia pink which is very welcome in my makeup collection and hopefully will be worn a lot! Certainly a weekend colour as it is super bright! This should have been £7.99.

I did the 3 for 2 offer twice so it was 6 for 4. I got a Barry M Gelly High Shine Nail Polish in Papaya which is a gorgeous peach. I had wanted this for a while and the formula is outstanding, so it was a great purchase! It made me looked tanned and so for, I don't won a thing like it. This was £3.99.

I also got a Sleek Pout Polish in Powder Pink. It is such a beautiful shade, sort of a natural pinky colour which is incredibly glossy. I will say that on first impressions, this does taste awful if it goes in your mouth. I adore what it looks like on the lips though so I'll test it for a bit longer before sharing fll thoughts. This was £4.49 and was an impulse buy completely!

Then, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent. It has a new imprinted design which is what I'm showing you in the above picture. This was £3.99 and the reason I got it was because I smashed my other one to smithereens! I do like it though but I'm not usually a powder girl, however it does a good job at mattifying areas that need it.

Next up, Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I had this in mind to buy but I wasn't expecting to purchase it, however I managed to bring myself to as it was 10% off and I hardly own any matte shades. Therefore, this was £18.00 from Debenhams.

This last makeup item was planned and it is the Bobbi Brown Corrector. My dark circles a really annoying me now, NOTHING covers them. I should have got the creamy concealer too as this is hard to find a normal concealer to put over the top so it matches your skin and the under eye area doesn't look pink. The makeup artist was nice enough though, and tried it on me with the concealer on top and although not everything was covered, it was a lot better than before. I did appreciate that she didn't force products onto me, which was something I was anxious about when visiting makeup counters.

Then, Lush. I did buy the Blackberry bath bomb too, but I used it before I took pictures. I didn't intend to, I popped it in the bath and then thought 'woopsie'!

This is Dragon's Egg. I've used this before and missed it a lot since I haven't been to Lush in a long time. This was £3.20 and smells of citrus which is incredible. I would liken it to a sherbet scent I suppose.

Then I got another impulse buy, Avobath. This was a citrus scent too and is supposed to soften skin, so we'll see about that one! This was around £3.

I decided to try a new toner water called 'Breath of Fresh Air' which I do like so far as a skin pick me up in the day. This was £3.95 for 100g.

Then at the till they asked if I wanted a Charity Pot, a teeny dinky tub of hand and body lotion for £1 with the money going to charity. I hate the smell, but it does the job in terms of moisturisation.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed!

If you could leave me some suggestions for what to layer over the Bobbi Brown Corrector instead of their Creamy Concealer, I'd love to hear them in the comments!
