New Shoes!

These shoes arrived yesterday and I could not wait to share them as I'd been anticipating their arrival! They're from New Look, and are wedge/flatform black strap sandal with two gold buckles. I had debated getting these for about a week so when a relative ordered them for me as my birthday present, I was so happy! These are a size 7, which fit perfectly.

I walked around in them for about half an hour as soon as they arrived, and they did take some getting used to! They were comfortable though, but I must say I do feel a little dizzy in them as I'm tall as it is so it was very strange to be even taller! The buckles at the toe end can be tightened or loosened, so hopefully these will cater to many peoples' feet.

I've done some measuring, and the heel height is 3 inches, however the platform is 1 inch, so you are only walking on 2 which is a great height if you're unsure of heels (I know I am)! They feel so dainty and light and literally fit my foot shape perfectly. I can tell they'll rub somewhere as they aren't excessively soft, but the likelihood is I'll be wearing socks or tights anyway which normally fixes the problem for me.
I wanted to show you what they looked like on my feet, can you tell the images were taken on two different days? Yup. Pfft, British weather.
Overall, I love them. When I come home I put them on and do a bit of a walk around the house, don't we all do that with new shoes? Leave me a comment if you do :)
What do you think? Have you got some new shoes recently? I'd love to hear about them!
Thank you very much for reading, see you all again soon!

Original Source 2 for £2.00 BARGAIN!

In Asda today, I was browsing the shower isle when I noticed the famous hand washes from Original Source were 2 for £2.00. I was confused, I mean the hand wash was £2.20 itself! After a light bulb moment, I rushed to the shower gels which were part of the offer too. I purchased a Seasonal Addition Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel which smells divine, and a hand wash which was the fragrance 'Shea Butter and Honey'. I thought I'd share it because the offer is like buy one get one free, but better! I saved £2.40 - yay me! (Does anyone else remeber that from the  Suite Life of Zac and Cody?!)
First impressions of the hand wash are very good! It made my hands very soft and although I'm not crazy on the scent, it is still lovely to have around.
I haven't tried the shower gel yet, but from previous experiences I hope it will be good! It smells great and will hopefully wake me up on those dreary morning showers.
Very short post, but I know a lot of people are keen on these items and might benefit from knowing this offer is on! I know I'll go back for another 2, perhaps the mint hand wash... yummy!
What is your favourite shower gel/hand wash? Let me know in the comments section!
Thank you for reading!

Benefit They're Real Mascara w/ Before + After

There are some products in the blogosphere which get so much hype you don't believe in it. This is one of them if I'm totally honest! I was never going to pay near £20 for a mascara, but when a sample of Benefit They're Real was in Elle magazine, it would have been rude not to try it! It was my quest to see if the rumours were true, is it the best mascara ever?

You cannot believe a mascara would be this amazing. I'll get on to the photos then! The packaging is very nice, a grey tube with a metallic lid and black writing with orange accents. (At least that's what the mini looks like!) Not the most professional I must admit, but it is definitely the branding down to a tee as I've not seen a mascara tube like it.

The wand is plastic which I have nothing against. I know some people prefer bristles to plastic but I find both to work for me, and if anything I probably like this type of wand more if I was put on the spot. It is a bit thinner than Maybelline The Rocket, and has a ball type feature on the end which is for those pesky lashes that hide near the corners of your eyes. I don't find much use for it as I find too much product sticks to it as you pull it out of the tube and therefore clumps them.

I'll show you a before picture now. My eyelashes are pretty average, medium length, quite straight.

Here is a couple of coats of the mascara. I always do two coats, I spend a long time perfecting the first and then just pop on a bit more quickly with the second. (I am aware my eyebrows need plucking haha.)

Honestly, for me I'm not particularly bothered about excessive volume. A natural, fluttery look is fine for me and what I like the most. This is a nice balance inbetween.
I agree with every claim on the box, and what I like is this mascara separates my lashes and doesn't clump them at all which I do think gives the 'false' effect.
Actually, the one thing I don't agree with which is strange as 100% of women did, is that it is longlasting. Let me know if you've tried this if it smudges on you too? It isn't waterproof and it does stay on my lashes but the line underneath my eye is inevitable.
So, is it the perfect mascara?
No. But Benefit, gimme a water proof one and gladly award you the title!
Thank you for reading, if you'd like to know the eye makeup I'm wearing ask me in the comments! Interactive is fun, right?

Part.1 The Disco Pant Wishlist

I recently got some 'disco treggings' of my own from Topshop, and I'm so in love I've collected a few images and made a few collages of others I was after. If you could let me know what you think and if you like it, I'll gladly show part 2! I'll show you my disco pants at some point, I'm waiting until Lauren gets back and she can take some pics as it is impossible on your own without tripod!

I was actually on the American Apparel website looking for the original disco pants when I stumbled across something new... TWO TONE DISCO PANTS! The illusion panel trend is big and so many people have been sporting dresses with similar features. I love how that looks, so on disco pants... just wow. The bad? £86.00 of possible pocket damage.

Next up, a beautiful shade that is so enchanting and... just so mesmerising! I think if I get bored of black, that's the next colour I would really like! It reminds me of mermaids and these are only £21.99!

Prepare yourself for these. I was in shock. Good shock. (I apologise for the bad quality image. I had to print screen it and crop it in publisher, then save that as a jpeg instead of saving the pic from their website.)

PASTEL OMBRE. Yes, they're slightly gaudy, hard to style and tacky. But my oh my. PASTEL OMBRE. Enough said. Someone, please make a black to grey ombre pair or a dark blue to lighter blue one? Pretty please? *bats eyelashes* If the ombre started in purple, I think I'd like them even more, but surely it would have been selfish to have seen these and not share them?

The pair below is beautiful. Described on the website as grey,  I don't know what is going on but these look a dusty browny rose to me, which I adore. Take a look at the link, and tell me if they look a brown/rose colour to you too?
Just to confirm I'm not going kraykray! (Well someone needs to stop lying at home watching the Kardashians all day...)

Please leave me a comment and let me know if you liked this post, how I edited the images and if you would like to see a second part. I know I'm obsessed with the disco pant trend, even if I'm a bit late on the bandwagon!
Thank you for reading everyone!

Color Trend Lip Stix - Think Fast Pink

Hello again!
I've had this wonderful lip product for a while now, after searching for the best bright pink I could find. I am learning to embrace a bright lip so when I wore this I was a little out of my comfort zone, but I loved the way it looked.
These 'Lip Stix' are non-retractable bullets which are kind of like twist up eye pencils if you've ever used one of those before. The colour I have is 'Think Fast Pink' which is a goregous uber bright blue toned pink. I don't mind the packaging, as it is colour coordinated to the shade but truthfully, I find the plastic stick to feel abit cheap. As always, it's what's on the inside that counts! When you put these on your lips, they feel lovely, creamy and thick and nowhere near as cheap as they are to buy. I got mine for £1.25 when they were first released, now they are selling at £2.25 on Avon's website, half price.
I found mine to last around 2 hours with a few sips of water here and there. Below you can see it on my lips. It has a satin finish which I really like. I find the finish fits nicely with the lipstick as I think if it as glossy it may be a bit over the top but that's just me!
I was looking for a Mac Show Orchid dupe as I love how that looks on everyone but that may just be more purple toned looking at swatches.
Either way, I'm very pleased with this product and next time the Avon book comes around, I'll be sure to purchase another shade!
Thank you for reading!

- If you win, I will drop you an email to let you know! I'm afraid that if you don't reply within 48 hours, I will have to pick another winner.

- If you do happen to enter and your postal address is anything outside of the UK, I'm afraid I will have to choose another winner, sorry!

GOSH BB Skin Perfecting Kits

Concealers are my addiction. I literally love them and trying new ones out, as I'm always searching for a wonder product to mask my dark circles and make me look awake. I don't find too many problems for blemish concealing as I've got a couple of items which are amazing at that. So, you could have guessed how excited I was to try another concealer product from Gosh!
Light is on the left, on the right is Medium.

This nifty idea is a small compact with 3 pans in it. One for a light concealer, one for a darker one and a highlighter. For reference, it is teeny! I expected it to be the size of my Sleek Face Form palette but is is considerably smaller in actual fact. I have both shades available to show you today, which is Light and Medium. I do think Gosh have limited their market here as there is not shades suitable for the darkest of skin tones

I'll be honest with you here. I dislike this product.

To start with, let's nit pick the packaging. For me, I do like the matte black compact. What I think ruins it though is the unprofessional sticker on top which has air bubbles and generally makes the product look cheap.  It hasn't peeled off yet though which is good. Inside, there is a full size mirror which is a great addition and fills the whole of the inside lid. The pans are circular and evenly spaced which I like and I prefer the inside to the outside on this item.
I assume the darker concealer is for blemishes and the lightest is to brighten undereyes, and of course there is the highlighter as well.
Light Highlighter
Medium Highlighter
I am a bit curious about the medium shade highlighter as it appears a bit too dark to fit in with the rest of the kit and is a golden shade with a dirty, rusty undertone, I did consider using this on my eyes which I am yet to try but I'm unsure if that's a good idea!
The consistency of  the concealer... powdery and sheer. It is quite patchy too and you must swirl your fingers a good few times before enough product is on your hands to apply it. I find it a very light coverage which for me is pointless in a concealer as it feels as if there was no point in wearing any if it doesn't cover. The lightest shade in the lightest palette suits me which is annoying as I find no use for the darker concealer unless my skin tans up a little. It covers nothing under my eyes (my circles are very dark) and definitely does not live up to the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on blemishes. The diamond in the rough here is the highlighter, which I adore and find it gives me a gorgeous healthy glow. The products do last, for around 8 hours.

It may just be me, but I don't understand the 'BB' claim either. Usually, 'BB' is used to stand for 'Beauty Balm' or 'Blemish Balm' but this is nothing of either sort. I don't know what's going on there really, as this is a concealer kit. Whether it's used as an extra selling point, or it actually has a meaning I haven't realised yet, I'm unsure.

Sorry for such a negative post, but it has to be done sometime! Normally I like Gosh products so this was another story.

This kit retails for £9.99 which I think is overpriced considering the only part I got on with was the highlight in the light palette but hey ho.

I would recommend this to people with great skin who want something light for some days but for me it didn't work too well.
Thank you so much for reading, please remember what doesn't work on me may work on you and vice versa!

The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balms Collection/Review

Hello everyone!

As you may know already, I adore these lip balms from The Body Shop. At £2 each, they're rather purse friendly and come in a variety of fruity scents and colours. I'm here typing along today about my collection, of them which consists of 4 items.

The palest colour at the back is Watermelon. The scent of this is very artificial and fresh, which I don't mind but isn't my favourite. When on the lips, this is pretty much clear and glossy.

The purple pot you can see is Passionberry (I'm not sure what 'passionberry is to be honest!) which comes a cross as a light plummy tint on the lips. This is by far my favourite. It smells like halloween blackcurrant Haribos!

The hot pink one is Raspberry. This is a lovely scent, a sweet but not too sickly fragrance and pretty sheer pinky tint. Probably my second favourite!

Lastly, Strawberry. This is the most realistic scent which is very fruity and gives the darkest tint on the lips of a natural pinched shade.

I like the packaging on these. Of course, they aren't YSL standard but they're still very fun and bright which attract my attention. I like how the plastic pots are colour matched to the product inside too so you know one from the other if you store them together.
I find these to moisturise very well and some days, if I'm feeling lazy I'll slick on the more pigmented ones to give my lips a healthy colour and shine. They do feel sticky in the pot but on my lips, they're absolutely fine and do not cause any problems at all.

Above, there is Passionberry, Strawberry, Raspberry and Watermelon from left to right.
I adore these little pots as not they're so easy to chuck in your bag or put in a pocket to carry around. From my understanding (i.e The Body Shop website) there are 2 other shades, Satusuma Shimmer and Pink Guava.
Please leave me some post requests below. They're always welcome and helpful!
Thank you so much for reading today - come back soon!

A Buying Guide of the UK Drugstore!

Hey everyone (specifically Amina and Gabriƫlle)!

I had a couple of comments on my post about £100 in Superdrug about what to buy and guides as to what to buy if you're visiting the UK. I'm only going to include products I have used and love so I'm not being misleading in any way. Obviously, everyone has their preferences but this is just a small post noting the things to purchased if you take a trip to sunny 'ol GB!

I am aware some of these things are available outside the UK. Some might be harder to find elsewhere or online order only, but I'm not doing this of a specific country citizen so I've tried to make it as general as possible if that made sense!
Barry M Nail Polish - £2.99 - £4.99
I'm pretty sure these are only widely available in the UK (please politely correct me if I'm wrong!) but boy should they be a worldwide phenomenon! I own many of these myself and have had no faults with any of them! (Apart from the mint green...) They apply flawlessly and last well too, and the basic line is £2.99! The Gelly line is amazing too, so I dare you to walk into Boots or Superdrug and NOT come out with one of these. It is impossible.
The mother of all concealers. You cannot visit Great Britain and not come back with one of these! I'm very sure these are UK only, and everyone and their gold fish owns one of these. It is so thick (hardly cakey) and covers everything! This is best on blemishes as it is a bit heavy for the delicate under eye area, but if you're looking for a hardcore spot cover, get this! Or just buy it to see what all the hype is about, that's what I kinda did haha!
I am so sad, my bottle of this is on its last legs. It smells amazing for one, and looks so natural and covers well too! It is on the more expensive side of the drugstore, but I can definitely justify it and I hope you can too! (I'm unsure about the availability of this in different countries.)
Sleek Face Form - £9.99
I think Sleek do ship internationally so if you aren't planning a UK trip, you can order online I'm pretty sure. It is a lot easier to purchase in Superdrug and if you aren't into the blush, for £2 cheaper you can get the highlight and the contour on its own.
Possibly the best bargainous item ever. A UD Naked palette dupe, this is a highly pigmented set of 12 eyeshadows for £4. MUA do ship internationally again if you aren't planning a UK trip anytime soon.
I got sent this for review around a week ago and wow... just wow. This shade would suit every eye colour with its golden hue! It is so soft and long lasting, and I'm not lying when I say it needs the lightest touch for such a pigmented line!
Batiste Dry Shampoo - £1.50 - £4.99
I do think this is available in America (other countries I'm unsure) but I'm sure it is a lot more expensive over there! This is an extremely good dry shampoo in a variety of scents which is great for those days in between hair washes.
I know you can get these in America, but incase you live in a country elsewhere I must feature this! It is my favourite brush ever and is so multi-functional. If you don't already know, these brushes are made by Sam Chapman at Pixiwoo, so you sure know you get the knowledge behind these brushes!
So, to Amina and Gabriƫlle, I hope that helped you both out!
Thank you very much for reading!
Also, if there are any other post request I'll happily give them a go!

GOSH SS13 Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Hello again!

I recieved a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l goodie box from Gosh the other day with their SS13 collection to review on here. I will slowly work my way through the products as I use them, but I got swatching the 6 nail polishes as soon as possible!

The collection in its self is beautiful. Through first impressions, there is some great ideas which don't work too well and some new holy grail items I have discovered. Probably the best items are their nail polishes, and I think they've hit the jackpot with these!

I'll be expaining the formulas at the end, because honestly all were very similar so I don't want to repeat myself!

First up, Tropicana. This is a very orange red creme with some seriously minute shimmer.

I do think (as a few in this collection are) this is a staple. Through all the colours of nail polish in the world, a bright red shade is so iconic and this does the job so well! It's very eye catching and probably quite dupeable too, but I do love how opaque this is within 2 coats!

Then, we have High School Flirt.

Probably my favourite creme nail colour of the selection! I did initially think this would be an OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh dupe, however this is less grey and my true nude. This was opaque in 2 coats too which is amazing as some similar colours may take countless trys to make it opaque due to the light colour.

This next one is 'Tilted Blue', a perfect nautical colour!

The best part about this is what you see above is ONE COAT. Not streaky, completely opaque, gorgous colour. IN ONE COAT! Polishes that take only one coat are few and far between in my now shrunk collection, so I can see this being great for days that nail colour is needed but not enough time to spare!

This next one is called 'Venus'. The colour is a lot more green in real life so please do bear that in mind, but my camera wouldn't pic it up sadly to show you. The colour is sort of a greeny dusty turquoise which is so pretty!
There are also two glitters as part of the Spring/Summer range, the first one called 'Girls on Film'. This one is quite similar to Barry M 'Rose Quartz Glitter' in the same aspect of glitter shapes and colours. It is a rosy pink glitter with holographic bits too which looks so elegant and girly on the nails. Below is one coat.

Lastly, Greed. This is soooo amazing! The base is a gold shimmer with large gold glitter and holographic parts too. It's the shimmer that makes this so amazing as you can layer it over everything! Below, over Tilted Blue I layered it which reminds me of a night sky. If there was only one colour you can buy, let it be this! One coat gave the effect below.

The glitters weren't too thick and applied evenly with a little bit of fishing glitter for areas that were left bare. They dried quickly too!

As for the others, they were a pleasure to apply and dried a lot quicker than expected. The first coat on the paler shades was streaky, but 2 evened it out nicely and gave a glossy, opaque finish.
My favourites are High School Flirt and Greed out of all of them. I love that this collection consists of such staples, as although I do love an unusual polish it's nice to go back to the basics, especially the creme colours!
These nail polishes are available in Superdrug, currently 3 for 2 as well!
Thank you for reading!
